Career Evolution

​A career in the entertainment industry spanning 20 years, Natalia is going from strength to strength.
Graduating with distinction in Acting from the Queensland University of Technology, and subsequently moving to Sydney, Natalia has created and produced her own work starting in Theatre. In her early career, Natalia was selected as resident artist in a number of ‘hot house’, creating and devising theatre-based projects. Some include the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, Legs On The Wall and Shopfront Theatre.
Since then, Natalia collaborated with other artists to create memorable shows like: Chewing Bob Fossy and Macondo’s Clothesline (NIDA).
Natalia was also a resident performer for world-renown puppetry company, ERTH. Touring Nationally and Internationally, Natalia choreographed and directed children’s based educational entertainment. With a strong dance background, the natural next step was choreography, of which Natalia has credits that include the Gay and Lesbian Madri Gras, A Mid Summer Night’s Dream (Seymour Centre), The Trouble With Harry (Seymour Centre), As You Like It (CarriageWorks).
Stepping into the film and television world, saw Natalia continue her career as an actor on the small and big screen, and took an interest in studying Hair, Makeup and Special FX Makeup. This was an alternative to the ‘actor’s day job to pay the bills’. From television commercials, music videos, documentaries, Australian feature films to American feature films, Natalia’s ‘makeup’ resume is extensive. With the incredible opportunities knocking at her door as a makeup artists, Natalia has never lost sight in what she truly loves: creating. This has lead to Natalia writing, producing and directing short films and web series. Her web series, Bad Maid, was a finalist at the 2021 Gold Coast Film Festival, and screened at many more. Her short film Not There (written and produced, directed by Stef Smith), was finalist at the SF3 Festival, Dance With Me, another short film, was finalist at the 2022 Brisbane International Film Festival.
Combining direction and makeup artistry, Natalia's skills has been sort after for directing photoshoots for commercial and artistic expressions. From concept, design, to implementation and styling, these photos come to life!

This has lead to Natalia starting a production company, I Was Here productions.

I Was Here Productions is a company started by Natalia to home her creative endeavours: writing, producing, directing.
